I live in Portland, Oregon, and I divide my time photographing cemeteries, creating mixed media art, and conducting Estate Sales and antique appraisals. My degree is in Visual Design with a focus on photography from the University of Oregon. Alternative photographic processes is my specialty and working in mixed media has been especially interesting to me since my days at U of O.

 

I fell in love with photography as a child when I would find old photos at garage sales with my parents. I was curious to understand who the people were or where the photo was taken. Studying history has been a big part of my background and has greatly influenced the style of my work and the subject matter of what I photograph and design. Recording history visually and using processes that date back 150 years is also a passion of mine.

 

The current work you see is a direct accumulation of history, culture, antique processes, and a dash of contemporary influences.
